My name is Sue, call me Sue anytime.. I am a full-time mom to Diya, I love to cook, I bake and own an online shop www.pumpkinmumycupcakes.com where I cater cakes for variety ocassions.. Besides that, I also love gadgets and love to be on the net all the time hehe.. That is why I choose to have an online shop instead of a bakery outlet somewhere out there! Well, maybe not at the moment until my Diya is older and more independent I guess.. Lovelymumy? I pilih nama tu sempena my lovely daughter Diya. Reason being is that I wanted to learn to write but what shall I write about? I used to be a career woman, having a promising career in dealing with money and loads of paperwork. I never read books instead I read financial statements, budgets, cash flows and I spell figures until one day I decided to have my own children. I came back home decided and determined to resigned from my post and start a new life. It was shocking at first, not only for me but for everyone else too!
I feel lost in the beginning, I call up friends everyday I don't even know how to pay my bills tau!! My best friend told me sue; you can’t be like this lah dear. Why not you write every time you have things on your mind? It doesn't matter lah tulis atas kertas ker, you nak type ker asalkan you write your mind out. Why not you start a blog? Write there about your life, what you love to do and what you would want to do. And from there I came up with www.lovelymumy.com, the more I write the more I love to write. I have my recipes and cooking here for friends especially career woman yang tak banyak masa untuk masak a feast kat rumah. My recipes mostly are fast cooking, instant dishes and very simple for any of you to try out. Sometimes I do write about myself too, where I go and hangout with friends or even just by myself and Diya. I take pictures of the food I eat, from hawker stalls to fine dine restaurant and write about them.
Writing makes me feel good, surfing the net helps me gain knowledge and so Blogging is the best thing for me! Got myself a nice laptop, small digital camera for me to carry around and write when ever I want to. Every time I see nice things I will snap pictures and write bout it. I write from home mostly, or sometimes I hangout at cafes for different view and ideas.. Eleh.. Sebenarnya berangan nak jadi macam "Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City" lah tu bawak laptop gi Starbucks hahahha..
Things have changed for me since 2009 and I am now a cancer survivor. Yes, I am a survivor! scared? Always dear.. Always. Despite all the trauma and all that I have been through throughout the year I still manage to stand and be here for my Diya. Can I still write? can I be happy like I used to be? can I still bake and cook? I am trying my best to live a normal healthy life again with my Diya. Living and appreciating more of life, be happy always.. So friends, come and read what I write. Sometimes they are full of crap but sometimes I share nice stories too here and always good recipes for you to try out..
