Asik cerita pasal masakan jer ni I nak cerita pasal Si Kecik Jantung Hatiku ni ha.. Alahai anakku.. Kenapa lah asik meragam jer sejak kebelakangan nih?? Tantrum all the time non-stop!


Lately Diya suka to gather all her small miniature toys and keep at a place where she finds it very safe and hidden. Problem is not everything fits to one another. Most of the time the chosen ‘bekas’ are too small to fit in her toys. I guess at this age she is already started to master her motor skills to handle smaller things or items and also mastering her mind to figure out where she can hide or keep her favorite toy. She always expect mommy to be able to fix things the way she wanted to.. Not all the time sayang.. Mumy cant do magic.. I am at my best to fulfill your needs( I guess at this age everything she wants is a NEED for her) but not all the time mumy can do it..

Ya Allah, Berikan lah ku lebih kesabaran untuk membesarkan anakku dan jadikan lah anakku Diya Zafeerah anak yang SOLEHAH..

Aper masalah puding caramel Mumy nih?




Semalam buat Mushroom tempura hari ni pulak buat lagi caramel pudding ni ha. Haihhh…. Sampai 3 kali lah I buat pudding caramel nih.. Tak jugak dapat the smooth surface yang mcm I makan kat Marche, Curve tuh.. masih ader lubang-lubang halus but not as bad as my 1st few attempts lah ader yg sampai keras hahahaha..

Things To Have:

5 eggs, 1 tin susu sejat, 1 cawan susu segar, 2 sudu kecil vanilla esen, 1 sudu kecil tepung castard dan satu sudu kecil tepung jagung.

How To Make:

Combine all the liquids and flour in a pot and stir on low heat , once thick remove from heat and add in eggs and continue to stir until everything is well combined. Tapis bancuhan sebelum dimasukkan kedalam baking dish or small cups and panaskan periuk kukusan.

layer baking dish with caramel sugar and pour the milk mixture, stim for about 15-20 mins untill cooked. 

Caramel sugar:

5 table spoons of caster sugar and a cup of water.. Melt sugar in a non stick sauce pan until light brown then add in water and stir until thoroughly melt. Or you can use the ready bought caramel syrup will taste equally good.

Oyster Mushroom Goreng Tempura



Yang ini is mushroom goring tempura. Asal usul masakan ini is I pegi pasar ramadhan Kota Damansara and saw this dish and I got the idea to make my own. Sangat senanng masakan nih.. tutup mata pun boleh buat lah heheheh..

Things you need:

Oyster mushroom definitely, tepung goring tempura sama ada bancuh sendiri or beli “ready pack”. As for myself I guna “ready pack” jer, senang nak bancuh and fast enough also taste sedap. i use some seasoning too or else the flor bater wil taste bland.

Hot To Make:
 
Mix the tempura flour with some water according to the measurement; add in some seasoning; salt and pepper to taste. For tempura frying you would not be needing any eggs for the coating. Deep the cleaned mushroon in the batter and deep fry. Tos until oil are dried and serve warm heheheh… senang giler..

Sambal Telor Mata Kerbau



Ini I masak sambal telor mata kerbau pulak. Sambal sebenarnya ader macam-macam jenis dan bahan yang boleh digunakan, terpulang kepada selera masing-masing. Like myself I always make a basic sambal recipe that will suit most dishes and easier for me to work with. Kebanyakkan sambal menggunakan “belacan” sebagai penambah perisa but for myself since I got allergy to it so my sambal no longer has “belacan” Huwaaaaaaaa…..

Things To Have:

Yang paling penting to have is cili boh or cili blend! How to make cili blend? I will write under small foot note bawah ni yer, cili blend digunakan dalam lebih kurang 2 senduk( depends pada banyak maner meal you tu) next is bawang putih and bawang merah paste dalam dua sudu besar each. I suka guna bawang besar (yang bersaiz sederhana) sebiji dalam my sambal, manis bawang is much more nicer than manis gula. And if you suka boleh lah gunakan belacan sikit say an inch or so. Kalau suka nak masam sikit boleh tambah tamarind juice sikit or asam limau, and lastly seasoning. And not to forget; EGGS! I used like 3-4 M size fried eggs. You can use hard boiled eggs too. That is it. Simple kan bahan-bahan for my BASIC sambal?

How To Make:

Heat oil and stir fry garlic and shallot paste, once naik bau masukkan pulak cili blend tadi and continue to fry until cooked. How to know it’s cooked? The color will turn brownish or dark red and you can see “pecah minyak” then add in the sliced onion and a bit of hot water so that the sambal will have a bit of gravy (you can opt for tamarind juice too just a table spoon or so, if you like a bit of sourness in the sambal). Continue to fry until everything is cooks, don’t forget some seasoning. I always use a pinch of sugar in my sambal to balance off the sourness of tamarind or limejuice and the spiciness of the chili. Once cooked pour on the fried eggs and WALLAH!!! Sambal Telo Mata Kerbau.

Notes: 

Potong atau gunting cili kering halus dan buang biji nya. Cuci bersih dan rebus dalam periuk sehingga cili menjadi lembut, cukup lembut untuk dikisar. Tapis, bersihkan lagi dan dikisar sehingga lumat. Boleh tambahkan sesudu minyak biasa kedalam pengisar untuk memudahkan lagi kerja mengisar cili tersebut

Sotong Goreng Tepung Crunchy



This is my version of sotong goreng tepung crispy. Crunchy crunchy kruk..krak.. bila makan hehe..

Things To Have: 

Sotong biasa dalam 4-5 ekor (dibersihkan, buang kulit dan potong nipis ikut kesesuain diri yang nak makan), 1-teaspoon garlic paste, a pinch of salt, chili powder (optional if you want to make hot and spicy crispy sotong), 3 tablespoon tepung jagung, 1 table spoon tepung beras, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 egg white and oil to fry.

How To Make:

Marinate the squid with garlic, salt, chili powder (optional, if you like) and keep refrigerated for a while. Campurkan tepung-tepung dan baking powder dalam satu bekas dan tambah kan sedikit garam kalau perlu. Kemudian gaul rata.. bila dah sedia nak menggoreng, panaskan minyak. Pecahkan telor(hanya putih telor sahaja digunakan) kedalan bancuhan sotong tadi dan gaulkan dengan tepung yang telah dibancuh tadi juga. Then deep fry until golden crispy, serve with chili sauce or thai chili sauce.

Mee Kari Nyonya




 
Hello everyone.. hari nih sue masak Mee Kari Nyonya; thanx to my dear friend Tasha for her original recipe. I did some alteration to it and and make it a simplified version of my Malay Mee Kari.
Things to have:
Thick/thin noodles (mee, kuey teow, meehun), fish ball, fish cake, tofu puff, garlic+shallot+chili paste (a table spoon each), curry powder (2 table spoon), curry leaves, santan(about 100ml), chicken stock and seasonings too, garnishes; boiled eggs, sawi, fried tofu and sliced, shredded chicken, sliced chili, and fried shallots.
How to make:
Boil water in a pot with a cube of chicken stock. At boiling point I put in fish cake, fish ball, and tofu puff continue to let it boil. In a separate small nonstick frying pan I used some olive oil and stir-fry all the pastes including curry leaves and curry powder until brownish and thick, later simply pour it direct from the pan to the hot boiling water in the pot and stir well. Add in santan and continue to stir. At this point use the smalles fire so that the santan will cook without “pecah minyak” and the gravy will look nice and creamy. Add in seasoning and serve hot with noodles and all the side garnishes.

Easy kan? Good luck every one.
Ps: Nyonya Curry Mee usually comes with sambal. So simple fry plain sambal to go with the curry mee if you wish too. Or you can refer to my sambal recipes.



BUKA PUASA 2010

BUKA PUASA


It has beed a week since my last post kan? Aper I buat lama sangat tak blogging? Maner I pegi?? Shopping? Terperap kat bilik? Ish… tak lah.. langsung tak. I HAVE BEEN COOKING!!! Reason being is; on the first day of Ramadhan myself went to the food bazaar anxiously to buy nice food.. Upon arrival I just stood there staring at the crowd! Oh my.. look at those people! Ramainyer… macam maner nka beli lauk nih.. I pun mula lah berjalan.. tinjau saner, tinjau sini.. adoyai.. nak tengok lauk pun susah.. semua orang kerumu semua lauk pauk, kuih muih dan segala macam yang jual kat saner lah. Smoke was everywhere.. sebelah gerai jual kuih pulak ader gerai jual smoked BBQ chicken wings, and sebelah lagi jual ayam percik.. aduh, aper rasa kuih-kuih tu agaknyer kalau dah penuh berasap berjam-jam kan? Bila I tengok orang pulak berebut-rebut pilih kuih sampai ader yang tak nak tunggu penyepit t uterus guna tangan amik kuih(err.. bila dia tak nak dia letak balik kuih tu!) I jadi berfikir.. lebih baik I masak kat rumah and learn make new kuih-kuih especially kuih melayu. Natasha Eone




Siapakah beliau? Hehe… nih I nak cerita sikit pasal my friend nih… yeah I just met her recently from my BFF Debbie and from her we became friends.. when Debbie 1st told me “sue, u have to meet this lady lah, she has same experience as you do and same interests with you; BLOGGING!! She makes money tau by blogging..”

So one day I met Tasha, we had breakfast and since then we talked online everyday and night hehe.. I find this woman is an amazing person. She is very positive thinking and encourages me on loads of things. Recently I started cooking again, which I have been so long not done it hahahhaha… everyday I will ask Tasha now aper dia amsak tuk husband. She cooks everything for her husband, believe me.. EVERYTHING! Bila I tengok dia masak fulltime, I fikir, come on sue you ader anak kecik better you start cooking too, soon Diya will want to eat like normal kids. Infact I feel I patutnya dah start masak for main occasions like Hari Raya, birthdays and many more but ntah kenapa I just stop cooking at one point and prefer ‘tapau’ food. Ish.. ish.. ish..

Tasha banyak guide and discipline me, now dia guide I untuk jadi a good blogger, she discipline me quite much (siap call me kul 5.30 am tau kejut I bangun pagi n start my day early hehehe), bila I sedih or feeling depress dia banyak sabar kan .. tengaok pada zahirnya Tasha ni memang happy go lucky person but bila dia bagi I certain entry dalam her BLOG and I baca I jadik terharu n fikir wow, her life is very challenging and how come I’m complaining bout mine so much??!
So hari nih I masak ikan sambal, sayur lodeh goring, and my sedap stuffed tofu puff! Tasha told me she made kuih apam and they’re dining outside later hhehehe..

Today I did…



Ha, hari ni I was busy baking my cakes.. Today I made Butter Babycakes with Blueberry filling and Vanilla Buttercream frosting. Sejak puasa nih ramai yang order untuk jamuan makan-makan and so I thought why not I just make one design that will suite all occasions generally and put them under my promotion collection kan? Sedap kapkek nih :p hehehehe…

Neways, sambil menulis nih sambil menahan sakit pinggang and bahagian belakang badan.. Ntah la kenapa sejak kimo nih memang badan tak tahan lasak sangat lah.. Or maybe I should take things easy lah kan, too much work sekali gus gaknyer? Badan belom nak biasa kena buat kerja rumah sendiri, I pulak dah start my baking again, agaknyer my body terperanjat kan? I started jogging too few days back, the most I dapat buat pun is 2km je rasanya.. Slowly.. Slowly.. I would be very happy lah kalau dapat loose a bit of this weight.

My Ramadhan Is Special..



Alhamdulillah.. this time I dapat celebrate a celebration dalam keadaan sihat sejahtera.. All my other celebrations were during my chemo sessions so I couldn’t do much during that time, Couldn’t eat much, move much and most of the time I shed tears in my prayers asking for forgiveness and may Allah take all the pain away..
To tell the truth I tak berani nak tulis this posting until my Ramadhan came sebab I was not sure “dapat ke puasa tahun nih?” … How shall I explain here yer.. Like all the years before I selalu fikir everything is a sure thing. Everytime Ramadhan came I will Always grumble “alar.. puasa dah nih, nanti sure pening kepala nak jaga hati mumy or abah” yeah, I came from a broken family and always sad during bulan puasa and Hari Raya. Tapi one day God bagi I macam nih. One shot I dapat ‘pakej’ ni tapi I redha and laluinya penuh kesabaran. Maybe sebab I grumble so much before and tak pernah appreciate life and so God is teaching me lessons in His own way, wallahualam.. jadi, sejak tu nothing is every sure for me again. During chemo I selalu tanyer my mom, “mie, besok adik ader lagi ker? Tuhan nak amik adik dah ker” (ya ya, I am 30 years old tapi family still calls me ADIK) but this time I kept the question to myself and waited till this morning to know I ader Ramadhan lagi ker tak.. lepas nih I will answer all my questions this way, tunggu the day dengan penuh kesabaran. Satu hikmah yang paling besar I dapat untuk ‘Ujian” ni ialah kesabaran. Suatu pembelajaran yang I tak dapat nak terangkan..

Ramadhan kali nih I will not fret anymore I will do my best to be the best for my parents, my own family and for my Diya. Allah bagi I peluang kedua to change and appreciate things and I will. Insyaallah, I will be a better person from now, not entirely for sure but I will try..

Ps: to my dear fren Haidi.. be strong. Belive me, sabar adalah ubat yang terbaik dalam semua hal.. if my happiness day finally came, so will yours. Things will turn out OK, Insyaallah..

Haih… asik nak menegluh jer sejak semalam.. it all started bila I masak macaroni and cheese tapi tak jadi. What went wrong? Tasha if you’re reading this entry, do help me out here huhuhuhu.. I got so excited when you gave me the recipe but I altered it to my liking and it turned out to be NOT to my liking at al huhuhuhuh..

I used; cream cheese, garlic powder, a bit of butter, a bit of milk, a bit of double cream, pinch of salt and double boiled everything in a ceramic bowl. It wasn’t yellowish in color like I expected and ended up adding more butter to it! At 1st it was sticky-sticky and I thought I don’t add enough milk and so again I added more milk top of that I add double cream. Haihh… I tasted, bland jer so I tambah garam pulak padahal I used SALTED butter tau.then lama-lama everything starts to melt slowly and I served them warm lah.. And of cause, Diya lah I punyer bahan eksperimen hhehehehe.. Surprisingly dia suka jugak makan tapi tak lah banyak sangat dia makan but still she had half small bowl.. frust punyer pasal I tak lah amik gambar mac&cheese tuh and picture of Diya makan huhuhuh..

Still nak mengeluh..

Hari nih I bagun awal pagi, dikejutkan oleh my fren Cik Tasha as early as 6.15am then I turun bawah jogging and walking for about 2km then I balik. Terus I masak lunch; chicken curry, sambal tempe and sayur kobis goring with tofu puff and mushroom, lepas tu I mandi dah tu mengadap laptop. Tenung .. punyer tenung… punyer tenung.. masih lagi tenung.. adoi! What’s going on with me lah? Then I started to type, I bukak word and feeling blank looking at the blank screen and so I changed the background color to black with white font. Hoping still to able to write.. haih, takkan lah sebab Mac & Cheese sampai jadik depress macam nih?? Hehe.. so until now ni je lah yang I type.. keluhan jerk..

My New Hobby

My New Hobby

I have a new interest, lately I suka ambil gambar. Kenapa I suka amik gambar? Sebab finally I dah ader Nikon D90! Wow! Macam maner nak start the story? My passion on photography is actually FOOD photography. I just like to snap pictures on food especially my cooking. Everytime I cook, I will have the effort to arrange things nicely and snap few pictures of the dish. Then I learn photo editing using free online software’s and from there the interest just grow.. grow and grow.. Until finally I have my own DSLR camera.










Haha.. Not bad eh the pictures?? Hehehe.. Still learning and will definitely have more effort to learn more. My 1st outing was to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa with few of my school friends with same interest.. I learnt the basics, focusing, zooming, and choosing subjects and many more. I never knew taking good photos could actually be difficult. I always thought taking pictures is simply just clicking buttons hehe.

Well.. Now I know.


I have Started Baking Again.







Hey.. I am back in business! Pumpkinmumycupcakes! Been more than 7 months or so since my last baking projects. Finally after my treatment semua dah habis and now I am back on track. Susah jugak to start all over again, most of my customers agaknya still thinking I tengah bercuti from my baking and I had to browse again all my contacts and get in touch with them.. ramai yang tak tau kenapa I cuti and ramai yang ingat I cuti mengandung and bersalin hehehehe… sorry lah you alls.. I tak terus terang dari awal.. I was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year and undergo all the treatment I am supposed to maka sebab tu lah I bercuti dari baking but fret no more as I am now back in business! With loads of exciting promotions and many FUN n new designs
Rasanya macam lama betul I tak bake cakes kan??? Hehe.. rindu betul.. tapi I kena start slowly lah sbb I belom sepenuhnya recovered from my treatment kan.. Still kena “kayuh pelan-pelan” lah ahaks.. ader jugak lah few fresn requested new flavours like Red Velvet cupcakes, local fruit flavors cupcakes, cream cheese frosting and banyak lagi lah.. I will try my best lah to add those requests and make some samples too hehe.
So wish me luck guys..

“What Distance I’d Go for My Other Half”


How far will I go for my other half? To what extend will I sacrifice for him? All the way… I will go all the way for him.. No words can describe how big my love is for him and nothing can be measured to show how much I love him.
End of 2009 when we knew I have cancer, he never shed any tears nor show any worries and despite everything I had to go through, he stayed strong for me.. I lost my hair, my nails blacken, my skin became pale, I am three sizes bigger now compare to I was before and still he would say “takper mumy, nanti mumy ok lah balik, ni semua sementara jer” he bared with me all the pain I had to go through during my treatment, listened to all my cries and tolerated all my nonsense until everything is done. Never complains.
I will stay strong for you.. Be with you during the ups and downs..
You are the answer to my lonely prayers..
You are an angel from above..
I was so lonely till you came to me..
With the wonder of your love...
You mean everything to me..
